Outfitting the open office

Across departments, the organization now enables teams to work in close proximity with a space that encourages collaboration and activity-based working. The organization worked closely with MillerKnoll and certified dealer Jalapeno Trading to curate a tailored solution.

“We selected Herman Miller's Cosm Chairs in various configurations and the Atlas Office Landscape Desking, which combines height-adjustable desks that encourages both focused activity and impromptu meetings,” says Jalapeno Trading Sales Director Yasmin Abu Dheir.

Blending flexibility and functionality

Upon entering the new office, employees and visitors are greeted by an inviting welcome area featuring Knoll Barcelona Chairs and the iconic Knoll Pedestal Table.

While designing the space, the organization wanted to promote healthy posture and ensure that each employee could work productively. To achieve this, each desk is equipped with Ollin Monitor Arms from CBS, which allow people to position their monitors wherever is most comfortable.

Complementing the open-plan area, the design incorporates private offices for individual work or private meetings that feature Geiger Leatherwrap Sit-to-Stand desks, outfitted in Bristol premium leather. The private offices also feature Knoll Barcelona Chairs and Knoll Pedestal Tables, enhancing the executive feel of the space.

Additionally, dedicated meeting rooms to the left of the open space provide privacy for collaborative discussions or confidential conversations. Cosm Chairs, which provide sophisticated ergonomics with only one adjustment, fit the needs of multi-function meeting rooms that must cater to various people.

Enhancing wellbeing and preparing for the future

The earthy and neutral color palette, combined with the carefully selected materials, seamlessly blends with the space’s flooring, walls and ceiling and creates a cohesive and visually appealing environment. Ample natural daylight from the perimeter's floor-to-ceiling windows further enhances the sense of wellbeing and connection to the surrounding environment.

The client's long-term vision and potential for future expansion were also taken into consideration during the design process. The flexibility inherent in the selected furniture solutions and the overall layout of the space allow for easy reconfiguration to accommodate the organization's evolving needs.
